What defines this style?
Color changes the mood and focal points of a tattoo. A limited palette can emphasize one detail, while a broader palette can create contrast across a larger design. This collection includes different drawing styles, so look at both the subject and the color treatment when choosing references.
Ideas and design direction
A red-and-gold horror portrait, a bright small symbol, a colored flower or a cartoon character can each use color in a different way. Identify the colors you love and any you want to avoid. If you have an existing piece nearby, include it in the planning conversation so the new tattoo can be considered alongside it.
Planning your tattoo
Placement, size, design complexity and your skin are part of the color discussion. Photographs can look different under studio lighting or after editing, so use gallery examples as design references rather than a promise of an identical result. Ask about the proposed palette and follow the aftercare guidance supplied for your tattoo.

Questions before you book
Can a small tattoo include color?
Yes, a small design can include color, but fine details and closely spaced shapes need to be assessed at the intended size. Send your idea and approximate dimensions.
Should I choose a full-color or limited-color design?
That depends on the subject, placement and overall look you want. Bring examples of both so an artist can explain how the options could work for your piece.
