Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Miguel's early life was marked by poverty and struggle. He found himself entangled in a cycle of drug dealing and addiction, which ultimately led to a stint in prison.
 

It was in this darkest moment that Miguel discovered his passion for art. With no formal training, he began to draw and create, finding solace in the creative process. This newfound passion ignited a spark within him, and he knew he had to turn his life around.
 

After his release from prison, Miguel dedicated himself to mastering the art of tattooing. He apprenticed under renowned artists, honed his skills, and eventually opened Rock Bottom Tattoos in San Diego.
